5 petite-friendly looks you need to copy in juneYes, it’s that time again! If you’ve been following along for a while, then you might have been expecting my monthly roundup of my favorite petite-friendly looks. I love putting these posts together because I get to show you the outfits that inspire me. This month is all about platform wedges—no surprises there—and casual dresses. I love how most of them would transition really well from day to night, so you can get dressed for weekend brunch and not have to change when you’re ready to go out at night. (I say that as if I’m the kind of person who goes out at night—ha!) Let’s take a look, shall we?

CUTOUT DRESS + STRAW HAT

This outfit is like a petite dream come true. First, let’s talk about those awesome wedges—not only does the platform add, like, four inches to your height, but the nude color elongates your legs even more. Second, I can’t get over those cutouts and the plunging neckline. Remember that showing skin is one of the sneaky ways you can make yourself appear taller!

BLUE AND WHITE STRIPED JUMPSUIT

Oh, hello, stripes! You know how petites are supposed to avoid horizontal stripes (a myth I totally busted here)? Well, when it comes to vertical stripes, I say full steam ahead! Coupled with the empire waist on this jumpsuit, the stripes give the illusion of serious height. I mean, can we just appreciate how. freaking. long. her legs look in this photo?

COLD SHOULDER DRESS + WEDGES

Again with the wedges—sorry, not sorry. I adore platform wedges because they make you look taller without the ouch factor of regular heels. I love the way I look in heels, I really do, but I truly cannot stand getting that awful pain in the ball of my foot. Not so with these babies! I also really like this dress as an alternative to the first one. Because the cutouts are on the shoulders, this dress is more appropriate for events like showers while still giving you that visual height boost.

SCALLOPED CAMI + CUTOFF SHORTS

This is one of my favorite ultra-casual petite-friendly looks! The high-waisted cutoffs give the illusion of longer legs, as does the v-neck cami. Nude sandals and a tiny bag also help out a ton! (P.S. Again, if you’re smaller-busted, having details like scallops can actually fake more volume up top.)

SUN DRESS + STRAW HAT

I literally sighed the first time I saw this outfit. How pretty is that dress? I love how it’s a little longer than the other ones I’ve featured, but it’s still great for petites because it hits just above the knee. Plus, the nude pointed-toe flats are an excellent way to create the illusion of longer legs.

So that’s it—the 5 petite-friendly looks you need to copy this June! Which one was your favorite?
